Thought AI was too complicated? Look again.
Packing can feel like a lot. An AI chat tool can make you a checklist in seconds.
Copy the words in the box. Paste them into any free AI chat tool, like ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot or Gemini. Fill in the [brackets].
I'm taking a [number]-day trip to [city or area] in [month]. I'm going by [plane, car or train]. While I'm there, I'll be [activities, like family dinners and a holiday concert]. Make me a simple packing checklist. If I'm flying, split it into carry-on bag and checked bag.
Before you trust the answer, look again.
- Pause. Leave out your home address, exact travel dates and any confirmation numbers. The AI doesn't need them to make a list.
- Check. Travel rules change, and AI may not know the latest. Look up anything you're unsure about in TSA's "What Can I Bring?" list at tsa.gov. It shows what can go in a carry-on and what must be checked. For bag size, weight and fees, check your airline's own website.
- Choose. You decide what to pack. Still unsure about an item? Text "Travel" to AskTSA at 275-872. At the airport, the TSA officer makes the final call.
